Collection: Barbie & Ken

The Barbie & Ken collection is part of a research I carried out during my studies in Florence on gender stereotypes.

Barbie and Ken make us reflect on the idealization of the body and gender stereotypes through their perfect image. Do we recognize ourselves in their bodies? Will we ever get to be like them? Do we really want to be like this? Is this perfection?

Through this collection, we challenge predefined norms and propose a different perspective. We recognize the beauty and value of individuality. We embrace bodies of all shapes and sizes, breaking the gender stereotypes that surround us. True perfection lies in self-acceptance and the celebration of diversity.

Barbie and Ken become symbols of a movement that goes beyond the unrealistic standards imposed by society. The collection challenges the stereotypical image of perfection and celebrates the authenticity of each person.
